Tuna Guacamole? or Avocado Tuna Salad?

I can't decide which name is better for this dish: tuna guacamole or avocado tuna salad.

Part of my New Year Resolution is to eat healthier--meaning less processed things like Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream chips, darn... So when I went to make a lunch on Sunday, I thought that tuna would be a good idea.  But then I remembered that I had 3 avocados that would go bad soon, so maybe I should make guacamole? But then I'd have to eat chips...

The internet is such a convenient thing; I quickly Google'd tuna and guacamole recipes. I cut away some stuff that I didn't feel like prepping, and ended up with this:

Yeah, there was no way of making it look appetizing in a photo, so I put it on some bagel chips. For your sake, of course.

Tuna Guacamole, or Avocado Tuna Salad:

What you need:

  • 1 avocado (just the inside and not the seed, in case you haven't worked with avocado before)
  • 2 cans drained tuna
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • optional: chopped tomatoes or chopped onions

Directions:

  • Put all ingredients into a bowl
  • Stir, stir, stir
So easy, and so delicious! You could serve this on lettuce as a wrap. It can serve multiple people. The first time, I ate it all to myself with a fork. Guilty. The second time, I put it on the bagel chips and shared.

Enjoy!
