Today, my mom, grandmother, and I have, from scratch, made the noodles for Thanksgiving. Note--they won't be cooked until turkey day; we were making the dried noodles themselves. While they did part of the work, I would play accomp, accompna, a- fella who plays the guitar on my ukulele--if you're a fan of O Brother, Where Art Thou? you'll get the reference. When it came time to have dinner afterward, Big Jim joined us and we sang a little song into the can. Enjoy!

We had a really pleasant little Father's Day. My mom made breakfast--a new version of breakfast casserole that contains biscuits rather than just pieces of bread. Then we had a break of time before we headed down to Mooresville to Eagle Pines Golf Course for nine holes of golf. It took me until the 3rd hole to loosen up my swing--first round of the season. My mom had both knees replaced this year--one in January and the other in April. It seems that she may have to change her stance due to being a bit taller now! It was beautiful weather the entire time.
Rick's is a great place for lunch and dinner. When Cole and I attended the Monte Carlo Night for the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis, he won a gift card to Rick's. I'm looking forward to using it for our anniversary dinner :)
