Christmas Movie Marathon

Now that Thanksgiving is over--and we have had day-after-thanksgiving breakfast--it is officially Christmas season!

Time to get the Christmas movie marathon rolling.  The following are watched over and over and over again, but it's kind of like pumpkin beer--they only make it for a month of the year, so you might as well go overboard with it.

We will begin with the most obvious...

1. A Christmas Story

The rest are in no particular order. The links will take you to Amazon Instant Video

2. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

3. Home Alone

4. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

5. The Family Stone

6. Meet Me in St. Louis

7. White Christmas

8. The Muppet Christmas Carol

9. How the Grinch Stole Christmas--click the images for the version you want to view

10. The Nightmare Before Christmas (It's great how this is a Halloween and Christmas movie)

11. Gremlins (also fits the Halloween and Christmas categories)

12. Elf

13. The Santa Clause

14. The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause

15. Fred Claus

16. Four Christmases

17. The Holiday

18. Stepmom

19. It's a Wonderful Life (I've only watched it once, and that was probably enough with as long of a movie as it is)

20. Jack Frost

21. Jingle All the Way

22. 12 Dates of Christmas

23. Little Women

24. The Polar Express (My sister and I loved having our mom read this story to us as little girls)

25. Just Friends

26. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

27. Scrooged

28. The Preacher's Wife

29. A Charlie Brown Christmas (that pitiful tree..)

30. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

31. The Year Without a Santa Claus

Christmas isn't complete without the last two playing on ABC Family along with the other "Original Christmas Classics."

I also really enjoy watching the Harry Potter films around Christmas--Hogwarts is beautiful at Christmas...

So light the fire, grab a cozy blanket, and a cup of hot chocolate and press play!

'Tis the Season!
