Starbucks Rewards

I LOVE Starbucks.  They just have the best stuff.  I think I have a total of 4 travel coffee mugs from there.  When I was student teaching, I went to Starbucks every other day (quite a way to use money, I know).  It wasn't until February of this year that I used the Starbucks app.  I wish I had started using it when I first downloaded it forever ago.  Today, I cashed in on my Birthday Reward to get a venti hazelnut macchiato with a shot of espresso--which is a whopping 300 calories, but we won't focus on that since I skipped breakfast.  I suppose that makes it necessary to indulge on this occasion.  Or maybe that's just what I'll tell myself.  Anyway, it is a nice addition to my afternoon of planning for the anatomy unit that my kids will be starting soon.

If you go to Starbucks often or at all, be sure to download the app and set up an account.  You rack up points and get rewards.  You can sync your Starbucks gift cards on there and have them all in one place.

 I'm not sure if the guy working has never met someone named Chelsea before, or if I pronounce my name with extra syllables... but I got "Chealsie"

Feel the Music

Yesterday when I was sitting on the couch, my parents came walking around the corner singing "Happy Birthday" to me and holding two gifts.  As much as I always enjoy their harmony on the song, I was so confused because my birthday isn't for two weeks.  I even stated this to them on the chance that they forgot that it wasn't my birthday yet.  They had decided that since we would be gone on my birthday and the major gift was not something that would travel on the plane easily for them, that they would give it to me early.
